Hi.

Welcome. I document life in NYC and my travels beyond the Big Apple. Thanks for joining me!

Sistina

Sistina

Late this fall my sister and I were able to meet up for an afternoon at The Met. We walked around the Upper East Side afterward to find an outdoor dining spot for some lunch. We stumbled upon Sistina and it is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city.

We were lucky to get the last outdoor table. If you are planning on visiting Sistina I highly recommend making a reservation on their website in advance. I would describe their menu as elegant comfort food. My sister and a split an artichoke and fava bean salad as a starter. We split one of the specials of the day which was an incredible pasta with mushrooms and chestnuts.

For dessert, we had baked apple tart with gelato. The restaurant also sent us a plate of mini Italian cookies over with our espresso. They have a lovely wine list too. If you are looking for an unforgettable meal that is both visually stunning and delicious, you’ll want to go to Sistina.
