Staycation: NYC style

This fall as COVID numbers were on the rise again Lou and I decided to have a Staycation in place of our planned vacation overseas. I’ve been able to leave the city to see family, but Lou works outside of the house so out of state travel isn’t an option at the moment. With Valentine’s Day coming up and being in the midst of several snowstorms that have kept us pretty homebound it seemed important to feel like we were getting some kind of break.

We have opted for another staycation, but one of a different nature than the one we took this fall. This time we’ll be staying at a hotel on the Upper East Side to feel like we actually got away. We have some meal reservations we’re looking forward to, trips to a couple of museums planned, and most importantly we’ll be spending some quality time together outside of our house. We’re looking forward to the change of pace and new scenery for a couple of days.
