Wedding Wednesday: Keeping organized with your wedding planning

Wedding Wednesday: Keeping organized with your wedding planning

Keeping everything organized as you plan for your big day can feel overwhelming, but it can also be fun. Wedding planning should be joyous. There are dozens of ways to keep everything you need at your fingertips. You should use the systems and tools that work for your needs. Here’s what works for me:

  1. Binder: I keep a binder for all of the vendors that we’ve booked with a copy of the contracts, payment receipts, and billing schedule. I also keep a digital file of everything as backups.

  2. Bullet Journal: I love journaling. I keep a bullet journal for wedding planning that I update with tasks every month. By working backward from our wedding date we’re able to tackle 3-5 tasks a month which helps us keep things manageable. If you want to learn more about bullet journals for wedding planning I have some helpful resources bookmarked.

  3. Pinterest: I used Pinterest to bookmark ideas and inspiration for our big day. I take advantage of the secret board function so things like my dress can stay under wraps until the big day.

  4. Storage Box: I keep a little storage box where I store things like engagement photos and fabric swatches.

  5. Excel Sheets: Our guest lists, budget, gifts received, etc are in excel files. It makes it easy to download info on the backend of our site on Zola.

How do you keep organized for your wedding or other huge life events?
