Coffee break
Told you I’d be back. I started a new job about a month ago. I’m used to working remotely because that is the growing trend in tech, but starting a new job during a pandemic when everyone is working from home is certainly new to me. Having a dedicated office at home helps separate work from personal life. Building in routines like walk breaks, regular workouts, and eating lunch help break up screen time and make things feel a little less strange. Another thing that has helped me this month is having quality coffee at home since taking a coffee break at the office or running to a coffee house for a few minutes isn’t an option right now.
I’ve been using my Nespresso Vertuo for espresso or for an instant cup of joe and a french press when I have a little more time on my hands. A treat for myself was investing in a quality grinder to experience the freshest coffee possible. Now that the warmer weather is around the corner I’ll soon be treating myself to some of my favorite bottled and canned ice coffees. I’ve also been working a bit out of my old apartment and have a hand-me-down Keurig there for ease. I tend to prefer medium and darker roasts. I will occasionally do flavored coffees, but I’m very picky about them. Here are some of my favorite blends for no matter how you take your poison. Happy drinking.
