10 must try restaurants in Park Slope

10 must try restaurants in Park Slope

Park Slope is one of Lou and my favorite neighborhoods in the city. It runs along the west side of Prospect Park and is full of some of the best shopping in Brooklyn. It also has an amazing assortment of restaurants, cafes, and markets. Here are some that you shouldn’t miss:

Baba’s Pierogies: This is a family own business that was inspired by their grandma’s homemade pierogies. They serve up classic flavors like potato & cheese and sauerkraut. They also have modern twists on the traditional Polish dumplings including mac & cheese and spinach & feta.

Benchmark: I’ve written about Benchmark in the past. The menu is seasonal but always amazing. It’s a mix of comfort food and satisfying salads. The bar is a great place to grab a pint or drink as well.

Bogota Latin Bistro: This Columbian restaurant has been one of my favorite brunch spots for over a decade. They are also great for lunch or dinner. The arepas and empenadas are to die for.

Dinosaur BBQ: With multiple locations, this is one of the best BBQ joints in NYC. I love their fried green tomatoes. I recently had Dirty South Bowl which is cajun chicken, mac & cheese, greens, chili, and cornbread, what’s not to love?

Dram Shop: This is the go-to in the neighborhood when you want classic pub grub. You can’t go wrong with their burgers, nachos, or wings. it’s also a great place to grab some beers and play some games.

Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbecue: The other great BBQ place in the neighborhood and serve up their own unique style of Brooklyn Barbeque. Get the brisket!

Hanco’s: They have several locations in the city but the one in Park Slope is my favorite. This is where you go to get a traditional Vietnamese Pork Sandwich which is perfectly accompanied by their bubble tea.

Korzo: This Eastern European restaurant servers their burgers in logos bread for a truly unique taste. Their latkes and spaetzle are also quite good.

Miriam: This Israeli restaurant is the perfect spot if you are in the mood for lighter fare. Hummus, veggies, and delicious breads will brighten even the greyest day.

Table 87: This coal oven pizza is some of the best in Brooklyn. Their pasta is quite good too.
