Hi.

Welcome. I document life in NYC and my travels beyond the Big Apple. Thanks for joining me!

Enjoying an afternoon in Riverside Park.

I had taken a bit of an absence from blogging and was planning on early 2020 being the time to reinvigorate this blog and begin posting again. I was working on articles, taking photographs, and building a calendar for the first half of the year. Then COVID and shelter in place orders happened and blogging about my beloved NYC quite frankly made me sad. I missed going out and was worried for local businesses I loved.

In my personal life, a lot was going on during this time too. My partner and I decided to move in together so I was acclimating myself to a new home in a new borough. Nights we used to spend going out to eat or seeing a show were now spent cooking in and watching live streams of plays and concerts on a smart-tv.

Now that things are slowly opening-up I felt that this way the time to restart this blog. I’ll be writing about the city, the experiences I’m lucky to have here, and the places that make the Big Apple special to me. I’ll also be writing more about the homefront and the cooking and other adventures I’m having here.

Lately, I and others have experienced a mass exodus of friends and family leaving NYC. Remote work is the way of the future for many industries and while I understand why others are tempted to relocate to cities with less density and a lower cost of living I can’t see myself doing that. New York is my home and still one of my great loves. Thank you for letting me share my experiences from the greatest city in the world with you.
