Keg & Lantern Brewing Company

Lou introduced me to Keg & Lantern Brewing Company in Greenpoint. This gastropub brews their own beers on premises and for the first time since COVID Lou and I got to enjoy sampling beer flights. If you have never enjoyed a beer flight, it’s where you get to sample four different drafts. Keg & Lantern allows you to mix and match with any beers of your choice. I sampled the Summer Wit, Jazz Chickens with Nectarine, Dark Star, and Smoked Saphir Pilsner. I enjoyed them all, but the later was unlike any beer I’ve ever tasted and is one of my new favorites.

Their food is the traditional comfort fare you’d expect from a beer pub. I had the Mac & Cheese with Bacon while Lou had the Buttermilk Chicken Fingers. We split an order of their waffle fries. We enjoyed the seating in their backyard garden which is outfitted with big-screen TVs so we could enjoy the Yankees game and the US Open.

If you enjoy any of the beers you sample on your visit you can purchase cans or growlers to go. If you live in the neighborhood you can also enjoy pick up or delivery.
