Dekalb Market Hall
My last deep dive into an NYC food hall this month is Dekalb Market Hall. There are dozens of food vendors here in the basement of City Point. Here are some of my favorites:
A Taste of Katz’s: You no longer have to travel to the Lower East Side to sample the world’s best pastrami Ruben.
Ample Hills: One of my favorite local ice cream shops has a location in Dekalb Market. My personal favorite flavor is the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake.
Arepa Lady: If you are craving South American classics this Columbian take-out doesn’t disappoint.
Cafe D’Avingnon: Fantastic coffee and delicious french pastries make this my breakfast go-to at Dekalb Market if I’m there for an early morning Trader Joe’s run.
Han Dynasty: This Chinese restaurant offers take-out in addition to dine-in. They have some of the best Szechuan food in the city. The pork belly appetizer is my favorite dish on the menu.
Pierogie Boys: Perogies, kielbasa, and borscht soup: this vendor serves up Polish classics and draft beers.
