This Week’s Posts

  1. I’m attempting to get out of a fashion rut by challenging myself to log my outfits this month on Instagram.

  2. On my recent trip to Cleveland, I was able to enjoy some treats from my favorite chocolate shop and ice cream parlor — Malley’s.

  3. I keep organized for my upcoming wedding by using a bullet journal, Pinterest, and other tools.

  4. I shared five of my favorite butcher shops in NYC.

Good Eats

  • I’ve enjoyed some recent coffee dates with my future inlaws where we have enjoyed some espresso and pastries. We had some cherry crumb cake from Oxford Bake Shop in Ozone Park and cinnamon rolls from Sugar Bun Bakery in Howard Beach.

  • This week has been snowy and cold so no restaurant trips, but I did have incredible take out from Greek Grill Taverna.

  • I recently had a taste of home in New York. Cleveland Kitchen is an Ohio based company that specializes in krauts, kimchi, and dressings. They distribute to NYC and Lou and I recently enjoyed their beet red kraut.

Active Mind and Body

  • Lou subscribes to Curious Correspondence Club. They send us clues to a mystery every month that we have to solve. It’s a fun activity to do at home.

  • Lou and I also members of Learned League. This is a referral only trivia league. We’re emailed trivia questions daily and compete on an honor system, meaning we don’t google the answers. We’re currently both participating in a mini-league on African American History.

  • I completed the last week of my Zoom class with the New York School of Burlesque. This last class focused on using props including boas, gloves, and tassels. I enjoyed all four of the lessons I had, but this class was by far my favorite.

We get monthly letters from the Curious Correspondence Club with the details of our next mission.

Have Some Fun

  • I finally joined the bandwagon and binged Bridgerton on Netflix.

  • I’m not ready to leave the world of burlesque yet so I started reading Jo Weldon’s Burlesque Handbook.

  • Lou and I binged through season 2 of Barry on HBO Max and I can’t wait for season 3.

You can buy Jo Weldon’s book or sign up for remote burlesque classes at the New York School of Burlesque.
